Propylene Glycol (PG) heat transfer fluids mixtures use either high-quality industrial grade synthetic-based propylene glycol (PGI) or USP (food grade) propylene glycol soils intended for use in heating and secondary cooling systems as well as various deicing, defrosting, and dehumidifying applications. These widely applicable fluids provide the benefits of other glycol-based heat transfer fluids while decidedly lowering the toxicity. They are an environmentally friendly alternative to other types of Heat Transfer fluids.
These fluids have exceptional thermal stability and minimize the potential for boil-overs and freeze-up damage. Additionally, these fluids protect against corrosion in a wide range of uses including the typical metals such as carbon steel, cast iron, copper, brass and stainless steel and have long service lives.
Applications of Propylene Glycol (PG) Heat Transfer Fluids include, Natural Gas Pipeline Heaters and Bath Heaters, Closed Loop Systems;, Secondary Coolant, solar heating systems, secondary loop refrigeration, Ice Rinks, HVAC Systems; Freeze, Burst, Corrosion Protection, ground source heat pumps, Process Heating and Cooling,Thermal Energy Storage, fire sprinkler systems, Refrigeration Warehouse Floor Heating, Sidewalk Snow Melting Systems and as a general antifreeze/coolant.
